Berger: Standby for a September slump?

September has a bad reputation on trading floors, last year for example some equity markets fell by around five percent in the first two weeks of September. But does the month which heralds the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness deserve its bad boy image?


Serge Berger, an experienced equity trader, is hoping that as autumn begins and the leaves start to fall we will see volumes, ranges and that much-missed volatility begin to rise.
