Beecroft: Why I'm buying the pound and selling the euro

As the UK economy continues to grow, Nick Beecroft, the Chairman of Saxo Capital Markets, says he's buying the pound and selling the euro. Given the state of the eurozone economy, Nick believes GBPEUR could rise to 0.75 in the new year.

UK GDP grew by 0.7% in the third quarter and it looks as though the economy will grow by 3% for the full year. Nick believes there's a slim chance that interest rates will rise in February 2015. If that doesn't happen, we will see a rate rise after the UK general election in May next year. Nick analyses what's going right and what could derail Britain's relatively strong growth over the coming months.
