The secret of successful asset allocation

Successful asset allocation is key to the success of many traders. However, judging when to increase risk or reduce exposure is a tricky balancing act. So, how does Saxo Private Bank's Teis Knuthsen approach the challenges?

Teis runs around 200 portfolios for Saxo clients and Saxo Private Bank manages some EUR 2.25 billion of assets. He explains his reasoning for reducing risk back in October and explains why, despite being quite optimistic about 2015, that neutral stance remains in place, at least for now. He tells us that his view may well change in coming months when he's convinced the short-term business cycle is turning higher. He also explains how central bank policies and a falling oil price may benefit global economies.
