Six surprises from the US economy in 2015

The dollar’s certainly off to a strong start this year. But here are six possible surprises to watch out for in the US economy this year, according to Morning Star’s Bob Johnson.

The first full trading week of the year saw the euro fall to a nine-year low against the dollar on market bets that a relatively healthy US economy will lead the US Federal Reserve to raise interest rates sooner than any other major central banks.

Bob Johnson, Director of Economic Analysis at Morningstar, thinks there are six possible surprises in store in 2015 from the US economy and that some may be disappointed by moderating GDP growth, but happy about improvements in wages.
