The minnows taking on Samsung and Sony at CES

This week, Stuart Miles from Pocketlint.com brings you thelatest in the world’s largest consumer electronics show, the CES in Las Vegas.

Big brands like Sony and Samsung are betting that there newhigh-resolution 4K televisions will be all the rage with consumers. However,there is still little content available for the new format, which will be achallenge for them, says Stuart.

The Internet of Things was a big theme at CES with tech companies promoting products containing sensors, aimed at collecting data for the user. One example is a belt which monitors whether the wearer has gained weight. According to Stuart, this is new frontier territory for tech companiesand it may take time before the full value and potential of this type ofproduct are realized.

Finally, Stuart says that CES highlighted an interesting change to the tech industry – the multitude of small players at the show promoting ideas.
