Jakobsen: Why the Fed may still raise rates in June

Saxo's Steen Jakobsen is no fan of the Federal Reserve. But, despite disappointing economic data, he thinks the market may be slightly surprised by Wednesday's FOMC statement.

Jakobsen believes the Fed's focus is to target asset inflation. For that reason he thinks there's a more than 50% chance a rate hike will come in June. He says it will have nothing to do with economics.
