As Gerald explains, "We are all very good at telling ourselves lies, and in trading that is fatal. We have to face up to failure and losses, and work hard to control our emotions. Without that control we won’t be able to control our losing positions, and the overwhelming evidence is that successful and consistently profitable traders can control their emotions.
