Jakobsen: The Fed focus fundamental
Once we're out of this 'silly season' for trading, as Saxo's Steen Jakobsen calls it, the focus will firmly be back on the US Federal Reserve and the impact any rate rise will have. The Bank's Chief Economist says it's odds-on for a September increase, not least because of better data from the US economy.
Steen has some suggestions for traders as to how to play the FOMC's next move. And he advises that patience may be a virtue in this instance
