Van-Petersen: Why I am going short EURUSD and long European stocks

With the US Fed expected to hike rates and the ECB set to further ease its monetary policy, Saxo Bank’s Kay Van-Petersen is looking to short the euro and go long on European equities

Van-Petersen looks at expectations ahead of some of the key macro events this week such as revised US Q3 GDP data and central bank meetings in Turkey and Nigeria.

He also sets out his trading strategy at a time when the policy divergence between the US Federal Reserve and European Central Bank is dominating the markets.
