Staines: How I'm trading the financial storm as FTSE is slammed

It's been another tumultuous day on the markets with triple digit falls in many global equity indices as oil dropped to less than USD 28 dollars a barrel. London's FTSE was one of the biggest losers, off by nearly 3.5% in the late Wednesday session. The London-based ECU Group's Head of Trading, Neil Staines, looks at how traders could be dealing with the volatility.

Neil is still positive about the long-term prospects for the UK and for sterling. GBPUSD stabilised a little this Wednesday but there could be more falls to come and we're not far from the psychologically important 1.4000 support level. He talks about his relative positioning in FX and equities.
