Why I'm shorting the Euro; Europe's a mess!

For the past few years investors around the world have been panicking about  PIIGS, but now the focus is expanding to include what some traders call the FISH – or the big nations of France, Italy, Spain and Holland.
It's not so much the short term crisis but the long-term structural challenges that investors fear are sapping growth, creating the potential for political and economic squalls. Even Holland, which has so far escaped market attention, remains plagued with structural challenges.
This week Standard & Poor's rating agency made some interesting comments about the Dutch economy, suggesting the prospects for a near term recovery are “limited”.
Neil Staines from The ECU Group says "The issues with the FISH, are in the weakness of growth and macroeconomic fragility."
