What will it take to shore up the markets?

The MSCI World Index is up 14 percent this year, the S&P up 17 percent and the FTSE up 10 percent.
But are the markets as strong as they seem?
The Fed's recent announcement that it's withdrawing its stimulus program over the medium term has meant global equity markets continue to remain under pressure.
There are also growth worries in China, and the question of whether the economic pickup in the euro zone will materialize in the second half.
Michael Ingram from BGC Partners says although there is an underlying fragility in the markets, longer term equities still look good.
He says for the markets to stabilize, we need to see unambiguous signs that the economic recovery that we have seen in the US will broaden out across the globe.
