Google's Facebook threat

Google is still an attractive stock that is set to outperform in the long term, but in the short term it faces some challenges.

With earnings out today, and an 8% beat last quarter, investors are expecting technology giant Google to impress. Core business sales have a strong growth trajectory, the android operating system continues to gain users and YouTube keeps on expanding.

But there are challenges. Peter Garnry says the price is slightly overstretched at current levels and competition from Facebook is lurking on the horizon.
