Any central bank surprises coming up?

It’s a busy week on the economic calendar, with central bank meetings on both sides of the Atlantic. The big focus? The FOMC meeting and whether Fed chairman Ben Bernanke will give any more hints on tapering of QE.

But Nick Beecroft, Chairman of Saxo Capital Markets, says we can expect "more of the same" from the US and that there will be no major surprises there.

On the other hand, over in Europe, there is a 50% chance the ECB will decide to lower rates.

In addition to the Central Bank decisions, we will also get the second-quarter GDP data and the latest jobs data out of the US.
