Should you think about adding Nokia to your portfolio? It's a tough one. It's narrowed its operating loss and predicts a more profitable future for its NSN networks equipment business. That'll be its main division once its phones unit is sold to Microsoft in early 2014.
Saxo Bank's Head of Equity Strategy Peter Garnry says growth rates are still "not pretty" for Nokia. He says it's very difficult to justify the valuation. However, he does admit that on a technical perspective which is looking up.
As for Nokia's future, Peter says it's going to be increasingly difficult for Nokia because the market's very crowded, not least with competitors from China. They, he says, are very aggressive on prices and have lower cost structures.
