Lambert: My best trade and my biggest regret

Clive Lambert from FuturesTechs takes a moment to look back on his best and worst trades of 2013.
Shorting currencies proved to be a profitable strategy for Lambert as he managed to find the trends particularly in the Aussie Dollar and the Japanese yen. He shorted the Aussie Dollar in May, June, July and November earning significant profit as the currency shifted. The yen has been another currency proving profitable for Lambert depending on the time of the year.
The yen is remembered for its strong gains in 2013 as well as a moment of misfortune for Lambert. Seeing the market increasing in November he hoped to gain 300-400 ticks on the trade, when a rumour about the central bank involving EURJPY stopped him out from the trade. It then proceeded to move higher and has been rallying ever since.
Lambert’s biggest regret though of 2013 was that he did not fully believe in the strength of the equity market. He does however foresee a correction in equities in 2014.
