Why equities are at a 'pivotal point'

Equities are reaching a pivotal point, according to Saxo's Peter Garnry. Although there's still optimism for shares in the year ahead, institutional investors are starting to see a turning point as valuations are high and the hunt for revenue is intensifying.

Peter says the largely positive outlook for the global economy will continue to make equities a good bet. There are still stocks which look like they could be bought cheaply, notably says Peter, oil and auto shares. He's been forecasting a ten per cent rise in global equities in 2014. However, higher valuations will see larger investors starting to look for those stocks which offer the best revenue and that choice is narrowing. .
