Veksler: Ignore this risk on/ risk off nonsense

When it comes to trading forex, it's common to hear the term risk on/ risk off. But Ken Veksler, Director of Accumen Management, says he "hates what it stands for and what the market interprets it as" because it has bred an "incredible" amount of complacency.

This means, he explains, that traders are looking for the quickest and easiest solution by which they can determine what certain data means, and on that basis asking themselves if they are net buyers of dollars or sellers of dollars, for example, or is this the time to move into treasuries instead of stocks.

Overall, Ken's approach to trading forex is therefore to stop ticking boxes, measure fundamentals on merits and move on accordingly.
