Could US come out of the cold this week?

A big week for US data, the Fed meeting, US GDP and Non-Farm Payrolls, all expected to reflect signs of growth, but how strong and will we finally see real momentum in the US recovery?

The Fed meeting and GDP are largely priced in, so it’s the NFP data which markets will be concentrating on. The March figures rose by 192K in February 2014, down from 197K the previous month. The most significant headline from the most recent date was that private payrolls overtook public.

Saxo Bank’s Head of Macro Strategy, Mads Koefoed, has been analysing the forecasts.
