Why London property's still hot, and getting hotter

London property price rises are seemingly unstoppable and there's no evidence that's going to change anytime soon. That's according to property consultants, the CBRE.

The organisation's Dr Neil Blake tells Saxo TV's Lea Jakobiak that the British capital still stands as one of the "fastest growing cities in the world" when it comes to property development. In Europe, he says only Berlin comes close to the rapid rate growth that can be witnessed in London.

He's very optimistic about London from an investment point of view and thinks the next 25 years will see the so called "office based employment core" of the capital grow by 50 percent, which means there will be a much bigger need for new apartments and new office space. He says this figure may seem ambitious, but then reminds us that it's not impossible seeing that it's grown by 60 percent over the past quarter century.
