Is Apple losing its touch?

Apple's Earnings Per Share are expected to be down by nearly a quarter when it announces results later this week. Saxo's Peter Garnry says it's driven by weaker demand for the iPhone 5. But there could be an upside surprise to the figures which would cheer investors.
Among other major releases this week, Amazon is due to report a big increase in profit. Last year it invested heavily in its cloud computing business and Kindle tablet which hit gross profit. Its forecasts will be key to watch.
The chemical company, BASF, is also reporting on Thursday.  EPS is expected to be down around 6% driven by weaker economic global growth. Peter, however, is confident about the company's future performance.
