Long struggling against rivals like Apple, BlackBerry is hoping to revive its business by revisiting the past. December 17 will see the launch of the BlackBerry Classic, modeled on previous successes. According to tech expert Stuart Miles, going back could prove to be BlackBerry’s comeback.
Stuart, who runs tech news site Pocket-lint.com, also has high expectations when it comes to the next big thing in tech – virtual reality. A number of companies like Facebook, Google and Samsung are all getting in on the action with virtual reality headsets. Key, says Stuart, will be having the right content to get consumers convinced.
Quality content also seems to behind the extraordinary turnaround for the UK newspaper, The Times. Times Newspapers has finally turned to profit after it introduced a pay-wall in 2010, forcing readers to pay for its online content. This could bode well for publishers around the world, whose business models have been challenged by the rise of the Internet.
