Ask some analysts about Tesla and the general charge made against the electric car firm is that the stock price is oversold. Any pessimistic views haven't been helped by the launch of a new model, known as Model X, an SUV, that's failed to gather market momentum because of worries mainly about production costs.
As battery technology advances, the long-term prospects for the firm are good and inspire investor confidence, however short-term issues, such as the doubts over the production unit price, are fuelling concerns.
