3 tech stocks you must watch this week
It's the second week of earnings' season and tech is going to be very much in focus. US tech companies have under-performed the S and P 500; they're only up 10% year to date compared with 17% for the index as a whole. Peter Garnry, Saxo Bank's Head of Equity Strategy, says that's because business investment in IT isn't growing particularly rapidly.
IBM results will be particularly interesting. It's seen as a bell-weather for the industry.
Google results come out on Thursday. Peter says earnings have been pretty flat over the last few months. However, the company has phenomenal growth rates. And their Android operating system has been a huge success.
Microsoft also reports this week. On Friday, it announced a major reorganisation of its business. Peter suggests it's not such a good bet as its rival, Google.
